Dream of the Week: Wild Nature

It’s morning and I’m just waking up in bed in a white bedroom that seems like a hybrid between my current bedroom and my childhood bedroom. Morning sunlight is pouring into the room feeling happy and bright. There is something special about the vibe and I wonder if it could be a dream. I look for something with words so I can do a re-reading state check. If the words appear to change after reading and re-reading, I know I’m in. I see my Apple Watch on the window sill (ignoring, of course, that it doesn’t belong there) and inspect the face. Everything seems normal except a tiny green widget in the bottom left corner that displays the time. It first reads 8:20 and then subtly shifts through a few other times. Ah, it is a dream! ⚡️

Now lucid, I am still standing in front of the window. I open the white curtain and am overjoyed to see a beautiful clear day with an incredible view of a snowy mountain peak outside my window. The immediate surroundings have the distinct feeling of my childhood home and property, as if it were dropped in a mountainous region. I think about how amazing it would be to have this view every day. Below, the ground is covered in white fluffy snow. Just outside the window to the left is a wide rocky stream flowing down with bright blue-green water. It reminds me of Tahoe.

I open the window itself and think of flying to the peak and climb out the window prepared to fly. I seem to hover horizontally for a moment just out of the window unsure of where I will go. I launch forward but don’t get much height so I turn slightly and grab hold of the rocks from the mountain stream hanging there for a moment before climbing up.

I can see water rushing water down the river rocks from above and cascading below. I’m in awe at the beautiful clear, blue-green water against the rocks and the fluffy white snow. For a moment I consider jumping into the water and flowing down with it where it disappears into the ground. As I consider this, the water stops flowing leaving just smooth rocks below as if to invite me in. I turn and look back up to see what’s happening behind me where the water came from and the water starts flowing again. I look back down and the rocks now form a bit of a veranda overlooking the view of the mountain and the valley below. Any impression of my old house and a neighborhood is now gone, it’s pure wilderness.

I consider going to the edge of the rocky veranda to mediate, but my curiosity pulls me to keep exploring a little longer. I decide to climb further up the rocky stream. I see more snowy mountain peaks still clear and beautiful ahead. A few steps in, I come across an old, rickety ladder along the path up. I consider its texture and continue to be in awe. Just at the top of the ladder is a small white mountain goat or ram and another wild creature next to it. I look over to my left and notice a large flock of crows flying in and settling down on the rocks, gathering near me. Just beyond that, I see a few gray speckled porpoises swimming up in the rocky waters, now calm and peaceful. I’m overwhelmed. I think about talking to the animals and consider asking questions of the dream overall, but I am so struck by their presence that I just stand at the bottom of the ladder taking it all in with wonder. I don’t want to ruin this moment! And then I wake up.

ProTip: Rehearse your dreams for a better chance of going back in. This is one I’d love to go back to. What are your dream re-entry experiences?

The Dreaming Atrium

Dream of the Week: The Dreaming Atrium

⚡️ I am relaxed and counting my breaths when I get pulled into a lucid dream directly from just being awake, (Waking Induced Lucid Dream aka WILD). The space is a large open circular atrium hall, ornate in its details and columns. It reminds me a bit of San Francisco City Hall in some ways, though far less ornamental.

In a small corner of atrium is a small marketplace stall with a very short, brow-haired woman behind a counter selling wares. At first I think she is a child given her height, but as I approach her, she is clearly a woman in her 30s. Once I recognize her, I seem to know her as Nina and give her a hug. She is happy to see me. I ask what she has for me today. She shows me some amethysts, clear quartz, and one or two other things I don't recall.

In waking life, my partner shuffles in the bed, the dream goes black, and I wake up for just a few moments. I manage to jump right back into the same dream once asleep. Nina is still there but has some pendants for me to see. I really like one and ask her to hold it for me. I look back into the circular atrium and recall my intent to ask The Dream for help with my project.

I turn to Nina and ask her to get me a microphone. She nods and a 50s style silver mic on a stand rises up from a plant-covered fountain at the edge of the atrium. I'm delighted! I run up to the mic with excitement and confidence and say, "Help me name my dream project!"

As I wait to see what happens, I take note of how beautiful this place is. There are plants around me that seem to be growing behind and above me. I see a beautiful fresco on the ceiling, light blue in color with figures that remind me of the Italian renaissance. I touch the plants and feel the waxy texture. I'm amazed by the glorious detail!

I seem to address The Dream without words at this point. I seem to say, "I know you're here, look all this incredible detail - I didn't make this!" I seem to be suggesting that I'm disappointed in the "silence" from the dream after shouting my request.

The dream begins to go dark from the edges until it overtakes the scene completely - but it's different this time. I don't wake up at all, it's just dark like I've been shut out. It's very unusual, but only lasts a few seconds and I'm back again in the beautiful atrium. I turn to ask Nina, who again is still there, for the microphone again so that I can ask for help again. I change my mind, tell her, "Wait no. I don't need it" and fly up to the center of the atrium.

Floating half-way above the ground and ceiling in the direct center of this place, I hold my hands out, just slightly above my waist, and ask the dream again for help on naming my project - though the specific words escape me.

The darkness around the edges of the dream close in on me again and I'm so curious as to why this is happening. Again, I do not wake up, I'm just in darkness for a few seconds. I come back in and this time I seem to be in the same building, but on a staircase landing with white marble floors. A crowd of people are hurrying by as I stand there watching them. I try to ask a dream figure for help, stopping one, an old man. He is terrified of me, hides his head and runs off.

As I look to my left for people from the crowd to address, a man comes in from the center and stops before me. He has light in his eyes. He feels important. We talk for a minute and he hands me a scroll-like piece of paper. I ask him if this is the name of my project. He doesn't react.

I open the scroll and the words are unclear. I can make out, "S T I L and W I N D" with other illegible text on the page. I look up and ask him if it says, "Still Wind?" He doesn't react. I look down at the paper and it's changing again. The words are utterly nonsense. The letters and words continue to morph and shift illegibly and I become dissatisfied. I tell him that he must know that I can't read this and it will never stay still. He has no reaction to that either.

The man and I seem to have taken a seat on the steps. We talk for a little while, but I'm unable to recall the specifics - something about my brother - but not my real brother. The dream fades again but I fully wake up this time.

Watch Out: Sometimes the answers you seek from your lucid dreams are utter nonsense… and that’s part of the fun!

Galantamine taken on night with dreams marked*

June Dream Summary

In last month’s dream summary, I mentioned that I was going to pause my typical once-a-month use of Galantamine to work on my progression naturally. Which is still true! But, I have been actively working on a super-important-to-me project (getting a new name for this website, in fact) and I just could not achieve higher levels of lucid clarity to ask my dreams for help. I absolutely loved the idea of having the name of this website project come to me in a dream - one might even say I was a bit obsessed. What a cool story! But, obsession is never a good state to be in. I’d like to say that I over-focused on the task and thus blocked myself from the balance, joy, and lightness so required of quality lucid dreaming (and sleep for that matter) and ultimately blocked my creativity in the process.

In the last week of June, filled with intense desire to produce a creative name for this website with the help of my dreams, I took an 8MG dose of Galantamine on Tuesday night and thus got an end-of-month spike reflected in the data below. Without it, my numbers would have been relatively lower than previous months, given the reduction in Galantamine use. In any case, now as I go into the next three-month quarter (how my dream spreadsheets are organized), I plan to pause use completely for a new set of raw data with the goal of learning more about what activities, practices, and patterns really help me achieve lucidity naturally.

And for those wondering, my dreams gave me two names: “The Cave” in a naturally induced lucid dream which I upped to “The Great Cave” in my potential list and “Still Wind” in a Galantamine induced lucid dream. Neither of them won out.

Call it, “The Cave”

Dream of the Week: Call It, “The Cave”

⚡️ The dreams starts already lucid, after successfully entering a waking induced lucid dream (WILD), I am walking behind two teenage brothers through an abandoned wide city block with nature overtaking the buildings. I look up and see an elevated train track towering impossibly high above, breaking through a building as if designed that way and an old fashioned train on the track as if in motion but stopped in time.

I came into this dream with the goal of coming up with names for my project and turn to the younger of the brothers and ask, "What is a good name for my project?" He is immediately afraid of me and turns his back to face a black dirty garage. I feel bad that I've scared him.

His brother keeps walking ahead and I catch up to him. I ask him the same thing. He shrugs but in such a way that I know he's thinking about it. I eager await his response as we turn left and into an old police building. The teenage kid says hello to a friendly officer, tall with blonde hair. He turns back to me and I am aware that it's time for him to go, as if the police officer is his dad. In a perfectly teenage way he says, "I dunno, call it, 'The Cave'" and I wake up.

Lucid Goal: Asking for creative help is a fantastic use of lucid dream time. Talk to characters or engage the overall dream in helping you get to surprising solutions.

Becoming Creativity

Dream of the Week: Becoming Creativity

⚡️I am practicing techniques for a Waking Induced Lucid Dream (WILD) and with full awareness, I start to see a tiny triangle "window" emerge in which I can see an old man sitting inside. I feel the sensation of being drawn into the dream and get pulled fully inside.

Lucid and in successfully in the dream, I'm now in an expansive room made of wood with the old man sitting before me. He has a white beard and his scale is about 3x larger than a normal human giving him a god-like quality - though his vibe doesn't come across that way. We are about to start a conversation when I tell him to hold on for one moment. Very clearly recalling my inspiration from Robert Waggoner and my goal to "Become Creativity", I tell him, "Stay right here. I want to go talk to the dream first and then I'll come back and talk to you."

I walk by him and over to an even larger open area that has two small steps down that span the entire space. Everything is made of wooden slats and I stand in the center. The spot where I stand makes it feel like I am center stage. I look up and see glass roof above me with a night sky beyond. The appearance of the environment looks like a huge wooden ship potentially floating through space.

I put my arms out to my side, look up and shout my request, "I wish to become pure creativity!" My voice is booming - only... I don't really get it out. Like someone who has lost their voice, I only manage to actually speak a subset of the words, the rest are strangely muted. The ship seems to have started moving and seems to be hurling through space as evidenced by the cosmic stars and objects that I can see from the glass ceiling above.

I try again. "I wish to become pure creativity!" I struggle with my voice again. The ship continues to move in the same way - but suddenly, a huge purple glitter snowflake (like a Christmas ornament) crashes down through the glass ceiling and remains wedged between the glass and the wood of the ship above me. I am lifted up in the air just barely above the ground by an unknown force for just a teeny moment and then I am back on my feet again. I feel a quick surge of energy that ends fast. Standing there, I consider the snowflake for a moment. I'm perplexed and mostly unsatisfied with the dream’s response.

I rub my hands together and recall the old man. I walk back away from steps of the main open hall and see him in a different location - in the corner of the ship near a pole near a galley kitchen. He is now at regular human scale and is much younger without the beard. Although he looks different, I seem to understand that he is the same person. We hug, but he responds with hesitation and I wake up.

Note: I had a few nights this week where I had no recall and I panicked! I can laugh about it now. If you have low recall don’t worry, you’ll get there. And dips won’t ever mean it’s over.

The Duffle Bag

Dream of the Week: The Duffle Bag

⚡️I’m having trouble going back to sleep so I am lying awake thinking about how it's a good opportunity to practice WILD techniques with this sense of wakefulness. I think to myself that I want to remember my intent to ask for help with my website and repeat it a few times.

At some point my consciousness drifts away and I am aware in a dream scene. Things are still hazy and forming as I stand in a house or an apartment hallway. Knowing I was just seeing nothing and now I am seeing something, I say — "this is a dream" and become lucid. I’m with Sam and an older woman in this hallway. At first I ignore them and see three mirrors leaned up against the wall. "Oooh! Mirrors!" I recall stories from forums on mirror as doors into other places and I try to crawl into the mirror… but it's solid. I try again, and it's solid it again. I try a third time and for a moment it seems malleable but soon is hard yet again, and this time I crack it. I'm amazed that it actually kind of hurts this time!

I turn back to the hallway and somehow gain possession of a small, black duffle bag. Inside the bag is a yellow winter coat and a blue winter coat. Astounded, I think to myself, "Wow! These are the exact jackets I lost on my trip!" I am amazed that I’ve found them here.

Even though I know it's a dream I think that I can put them in a specific place in a specific time in the past, that will allow me to find them in the real world. I spend the next part of the dream in a "lame lucid" state continuing to look for the jackets (the same ones I just found) and looking for the right place to put the coats so that I change time and reality so that I will be able to find the bag in my apartment when I wake up. I recruit Sam and the old woman to help me with my task, so excited to make it happen. The dream fades.

Quick Reflection:

  • These jackets don’t exist in real life!

  • I am amazed at how absolutely true I thought these jackets were and how convinced I was that I could actually bring them back through the dream somehow, even though they never were real in the first place! Hilarious.

Note: Not all lucid dream have the same level of quality. Some are super-charged with vividness and influence, while others are weak in fleeting.

Celebrating 1 Year and 1,084 Dreams!

Biggest Learning 365 Days Later: Just Keep Going!

I started this “little” dream project on June 7th 2018. In such a remarkably short amount of time, what was once a small interest has blossomed into a full-blown obsession resulting in a huge amount of dedication and success.

For me, the biggest deterrent to establishing my own consistent dreaming practice is discouragement over perceived lack of progress. This was hard early on. The only way for me to overcome this challenge was to let go of time... When I let go of the idea of needing to achieve something by a specific, self-imposed deadline, I felt free - and my skills grew. When I hit roadblocks, I just kept going. I tried not to get down. I tried not to think of it as failure. Many times my mind got the better of me. And I go sad. But… I just kept going. And here we are!

Now, 365 nights, 207 lucid dreams, and 877 regular dreams later, I continue to grow and up-level my lucidity and quality. While at the same time, I frequently have hazy, murky, low-level lucid dreams, plenty of non-lucid dreams, and whole a lot of dreams that are simply, utterly mundane.

All this to underscore that time, patience, and the most positive expectation framework that's right for you will go a long way... at least it did for me. There is no comparison to others, only to what you did yesterday. No matter where you think you are on your journey, you're right on track.

I am also so thankful for my teacher and mentor, Kristen LaMarca who has shaped my dreaming practice since studying under her Mindful Lucid Dreaming Program and to Andrew Holecek and his community of dreamers on the Night Club to which I am grateful to be a moderator.

Chart shows total number of dreams per month over one year.
Between June 2018 and June 2019, I recorded 1,084 total dreams.

Between June 2018 and June 2019, I recorded 207 lucid dreams (19%).

Dream of the Trip: Little Ito

I am at a more formal train station waiting to board an incoming train. The way to get on the train is to jump from the platform to the moving car, but this seems to be my first time. I watch as another man successfully leaps from the platform and I cautiously go for it myself.

The scene shifts and I seem to have wandered into a huge opulent mansion from the train station. An old, very wealthy woman is sitting in the middle of a grand room - almost on a throne - with her two very regal pet llamas. She is very stylish (think Iris Apfel) and looking over at me with a stern but curious look as to why I am there.

A butler kind of man stands next to her and they discuss (whispering) what to do with me. I seem to shift from participant to witness at this point and being to watch the same scene. The person now speaking to the old woman (my previous POV) is a young Asian girl, maybe 8 or so. I watch as they have a conversation that I don't remember. Eventually the woman asks her name. She replies with, "Ito." The woman warmly welcomes “Little Ito” into her home and says, "I shall have such fun with you, Ito." I understand that Ito will be staying with the woman indefinitely. She dismisses her butler and I wake up.

Quick Reflection:
I was traveling through Norway for two weeks during which I was intentionally focusing on my adventures and not on dream practice. For many people, jet lag and temporary lack of sleep can be an asset in lucid dream induction, however I found that for me, it didn’t really change much of my practice. I recalled fewer dreams by week then I normally do and I had fewer lucid dreams over that two week period.

It’s super interesting to think about the balance between my normal dedicated practice and a relaxed vacation. Everything should be about finding the right balance and these moments where I can’t be 100% all in really do help find more of an in-between state. Once the practice is formalized and constant for you, you can still be casual about if from time to time and still be successful.

May Dream Summary

May is a low quantity dream month, but the quality was just as good. Traveling through Norway for two weeks most definitely had an impact on my dream recall, though to be honest, I wasn’t practicing very much while away. It also didn’t help things that I suffered through some unpleasant illnesses out there. Having a healthy body and a healthy mind (and sleep!) are key ingredients to successful dream time practices, and it was lacking for much of May - by design!

In any case, the percent of lucid dreams remained on par with previous months and I’ve been intentionally been pausing Galantamine use to gather a few months of data without it to see how I’m progressing naturally. For now, I plan to stop use until the super new moon (I like to use the moon to target “special occasions”) that takes place August 11th, 2019. You can’t see a super new moon, but I like knowing it’s there. 🌑

Anyway, on to the stats!

I’m headed to Norway!

Photo by John O'Nolan, thank you!

Photo by John O'Nolan, thank you!

I’m off on an international adventure of Nordic proportions!

I’ll be in Norway for two weeks starting May 18th to June 2nd. I’m excited to get out there and practice my other love - Photography! And of course, I look forward to seeing how traveling through Norway will impact my dreams. I expect some early mornings, so dream time will be cut shorter… and there’s always the jet lag problem that might lead to strange dream time patterns - we’ll see!

In any case, I will be delayed in publishing my usual Dreams Last Week over the next two weeks… and a little bit afterward while I get myself caught up again. I won’t be able to dedicate as much time as I usually do to dream recording, so it will take some time to gather up the best material when I’m back. I do plan on retro-posting Dreams Last Week collected during my trip - or perhaps doing a single roll-up into a “Norway Dreams” post. Which sounds pretty good to me.

Until then! 👋

Dream of the Week: Wormhole Simulation

⚡️ I'm lying in bed awake in the middle of the night practicing a meditation and observing hypnogogic imagery. Before long, I feel the sensation of being "pulled down" - a very common characteristic of many of my Waking Induced Lucid Dreams (WILDs). I can see my hands as dark shadows as the dream starts to envelop me. With lucid awareness, I am in a dream, falling with a some control within a black void. I'm both flying and falling trying to make sense of where I am.

A blue mesh-like grid begins to reveal itself in the darkness. It gets brighter and brighter in an hourglass shape all around me as I continue to fall-fly through it. I stop for a moment to look around and see the hovering metallic glow of the mesh that looks like some kind of material. In between the mesh is a faint copper-rainbow kind of look as if tiny cells in a computer simulation. I realize the shape around me is a wormhole and I am totally blown away by how amazing it is. I continue to fall-fly and can see a green in the very far distance. It looks like a turf field in a way. I continue flying down at rapid speeds unsure of what I will find once there, a little nervous by the mystery. My partner shuffles in the bed and I wake up.

Note: Last week, I was pretty lazy with my daytime mindfulness. This week, my results sky-rocketed with more meditation. It does make a difference!

Dolphin Beach

Dream of the Week: Dolphin Beach

I'm sitting outside on a side deck attached to an unknown building by the beach. There's a guy interviewing me and other woman I don't recognize. He's asking us setup questions and we're casually talking since they aren't filming yet.

The scene shifts to us walking along the beach where the edge of the water line is chest high. It's as though there's an invisible barrier keeping the water "in" at that height. A pod of dolphins comes swimming up the shoreline, jumping and playing near us. I'm so excited! I put my hand in the water and they swim to me. One stays with me for a while, letting me affectionately pet it. A crowd gathers, all surprised by the behavior of the dolphin and its connection with me. I have a pang of worry that I'm "too close" to the wildlife as is commonly understood, but this seems different and special. I pull my hand away and continue walking.

A new pod approaches and everyone is curious to see if any of the dolphins behave the same way. I put my hands in the water again and another dolphin comes up to me for affection. My dad seems to be there, really blown away by the whole thing. The scene shifts back up to the deck where we are about to start the interview again.

Note: Don’t be Lazy with mindfulness like me this week. I was stressed, busy, and only doing the absolute minimum. The impact on my dream quality and content was noticeable.

April Dream Summary

April numbers are in and I’m so thrilled to have reached a major milestone this month: 🎉 1,000 dreams recorded in detail! 😱

The scale of this project is immense and I am absolutely obsessed with every minute, every detail, every stat, every experience! It’s a remarkable space that I am so excited to continue working with. My collection is so massive at this stage and I am actively exploring ways I uncover overarching patterns from the collective set - as well as working with specific individual “big” dreams. It’s all very exciting!

I was in NYC and plenty jet-lagged with long work hours in late April, which naturally effected my overall dream count and quality. The increase in lucid percentage can also be attributed to the fact that I took Galantamine twice this month, when I am usually taking it once every few months.

Movie Teamwork

Dream of the Week: Movie Teamwork

I’m in a movie theatre with others and a few kids about 10ish sitting behind me. The movie has just ended. People are leaving and I’m looking for my other pair of shoes. I have a pair of yellow flip-flops on, but my outside shoes - black pointy ballet flats - that were under the seat in front of me are lost. I crawl under the seats and see several other shoes, none of them my own. A few people try and help me finding shoes that fit my description, but none of them are right. I’m frustrated on the ground not finding them. I stand up and someone says that there’s a fire. The theatre goes dark and everyone needs to leave. I look, see nothing and say, “there is no fire” and everyone agrees that yes, there is no fire and there never was one.

I go back to looking for my shoes and finally give up, angry. The kids behind me see that I’m mad and I feel bad. I change my tone, talking to them happily, suppressing my frustration. Their parents don’t really buy it, but I continue on. We then walk of the theatre. Directly outside the theatre (room not building) is a large “hill” of a stair/seats combo leading to the ground to exit the overall building. Everyone decides to walk down except for me and a kid. We ride down in a cardboard box over the seats, with light sparkling by as we gain speed. We land with a prat fall crash and laugh as we get up.

I’m looking up at a wall filled with picture frames of all sizes. I don’t notice what’s in the frames, but become aroused by them. I’m confused as to why I would feel that right now and remember that this often happens in dreams. I think, “Oh, this is a dream!” and become lucid.

I look outside the front door of the theatre and see a flock of birds flying. I launch up to fly out the door and join them. Once outside, I’m just on the ground again, in a different setting then the birds. I’m standing in the middle of a street of and a group of runner guys are running toward me. I make loud claps at them to get their attention as they run by me. A few keep running ignoring me completely while others are freaked out that I have made this loud clapping sound at them. One of them slows down and stops before me, kind of running in place. I ask him, “why are you here?” to which he responds, “Oh you’re cute! I’m on the team.” I laugh at how this guy reacted, totally unexpected. I then ask him, “well what do you represent?” and he says, “I’m teamwork! I represent collaboration.” I wake up. 🤝

Quick Reflection:

I was in New York for work this week, my first extended period of time with jet lag, reduced sleep, and very little time for downtime and recovery. Most nights, I went to sleep late and got up early (though Melatonin helped), getting less than 6 hours, 5 days straight. As you’d expect, this tax on my sleep had an impact on dream time resulting in only 14 dreams recalled (when I normally hit 20-25+).

On the amazing upside, I reached a HUGE milestone this week, hitting my 1000th dream recorded in detail. That breaks down to 808 non-lucid dreams and 193 lucid dreams (19%) with many other stats and data slices too. I’m a huge data nerd, so these big numbers are really fun for me! So excited to continue along this path.🎉

Sending Hot Air Balloons

Dream of the Week: Sending Hot Air Balloons

⚡️I grab hold of a yellow and white lemon that seems to thrust me into a Waking Induced Lucid Dream (WILD) with the lemon as an anchor. I'm now in a bright living room that's hazy and still forming. I focus on the lemon and ask the dream to stabilize. I fly forward above two white couches toward a TV. The scene changes into a sort of high school hallway, but not quite. I recall my intent to send hot air balloons to my dream class in real life.

I pick up my hand to my face as if to blow a kiss and say, "send a hot air balloon to Kristen!" A small, gossamer, smokey, particle-like, hologramy hot air balloon appears in my palm! I am delighted and blow it away imagining it heading to Kristen. A few people come into the scene and I get distracted from my task and start talking to them. With another student, I walk up a set a stairs that lead to nowhere. At the top of the stairs, I remember my task again and say, "send a hot air balloon to Jason!" The smoke balloon appears again in my palm, and I blow it away to him.

I seem to go through the ceiling at the top of the stairs and now I'm the high school cafeteria. I am again distracted by the dream and approach a woman I seem to know sitting on a round cafeteria table. She calls me "Laird" and is excited to see me, it seems as though it's been a long time since we've seen each other. I seem to know that I'm not Laird but also accept it.

I leave her to talk to the "pizza guy" who is sitting crouched on the floor. On my way over to him I remember my task and say, "send a hot air balloon to Maureen!" The smoke balloon and appears and I blow it to her. I quickly follow-up with "send a hot air balloon to Mayra!" And the same balloon appears and I blow it away to Mayra. I crouch down next to the "pizza guy" who seems to be called that because he works at the pizza station in the cafeteria. He is upset for some reason and I am trying to comfort him.

We talk for a moment, and then he transforms into a man literally made of pizza, still sitting on the floor. I’m not sure what to make of him now, so I get up and leave him be. I continue walking around the cafeteria. I know I have one more hot air balloon to send, but I get distracted when Will Farrell comes up to me.

He's looking kind of wacky and asks me to come with him. We are then floating in the air horizontally (as if lying on the ground) having a casual conversation. He's trying to help me focus on avoiding getting distracted in a comical, yet teacher-like way. He seems to know that I don't want to be distracted right now, yet I continue to get distracted, even by him.

I wake up, excited that I was able to send the balloons.

Quick Reflection:

I’ve mentioned before that I like to focus deeper intent on a full moon, which happened last week on Friday the 19th. The bright light of a big, meaty moon often leads to people waking up more and recalling more dreams. I love it! To me, the full moon is an amazing anchor to bring focus into specific dream goals.

With my dream group under Kristen LaMarca, we all decided that we would set a shared “dreaming sending” intention on the 19th. In our experiment, I was to dream of hot air balloons and attempt to “send” classmates hot air balloons in their dreams. None of them knew the intended subject as the idea was to share their dream reports to see if anyone got a “hit” of a hot air balloon. The result? Nobody else dreamt of hot air balloons when we got together again, but it’s super fun to think about!

It’s worth noting that I also used Galantamine on both Friday and Saturday night in order to boost my chances of dreaming of a specific subject - which worked! Those dreams are marked with an asterisk.*
